The chief executive at a troubled South Korean bank jumped to his death Thursday as customers lined up outside waiting to withdraw their savings from the bank. Chung Ku-haeng, head of the Jeil 2 savings bank, appeared to have leaped to his death from his sixth floor office, though no suicide note was found. The bank's operations had been suspended Sunday for suspected irregularities.
Starbucks Asia Pacific President Jinlong Wang told reporters Tuesday that the company plans to more-than-triple the number of its coffee shops in China over the next four years. The chain currently has 470 coffee shops throughout China, and hopes to increase that number to 1,5000 by 2015. The announcement came at a press conference held Tuesday in Singapore.
