Vizio Unveils New 3D HDTVs

Irvine, California-based Vizio issued a press release on Monday promising a new line of products expanding on its Theater 3D TV model.  The release boasts an entire line of 3D HDTVs with passive glasses ranging in size from 22-inches to 71-inches.

There are 21 models in all detailed in the press release including LED edge lit LCDs, direct LED backlit versions, some with the Yahoo! Widgets VIA package, and a couple of models supporting the new Google TV service.

The release did not offer pricing or ship dates for any of the new products, but does promise brighter pictures on the TVs and less flicker than previous 3D televisions.  The company also said that all of the new TVs would be compatible with Oakley's “optically correct” glasses.
