Sony Unveils PlayStation Suite

Sony held a media to introduce its new PlayStation Suite, a platform the company hopes to use to deliver PlayStation content to Android devices.  The gaming giant will offer exclusive PlayStation games, including classic titles, in the Suite's PlayStation Store.

The company hasn't yet mentioned any specific titles it will offer, but says that content will be available before the end of the year.  Content will only be available for devices running Android 2.3 Gingerbread or newer.

The company says it will also enact a “PlayStation Certified” licensing program through which manufacturers will be able to certify their devices for compatibility with PlayStation Suite content.  Sony will provide extensive support and logo licensing assistance for manufacturers, as well.  Insiders say Sony will unveil more details about PlayStation Suite at the Mobile World Congress next month.
