Anna Chapman, a Russian spy who was sent back to her homeland in a spy-swap between the US and Russia last summer, has posed in the Russian version of Maxim magazine. The high-profile spy appears in the magazine in a series of provocative shots dressed in lingerie and holding guns.
The magazine is billing Chapman's appearance as her first interview since 10 “sleeper agents”, including herself, were rounded up by US authorities back in June. The suspected spies would later plead guilty of failing to register as foreign agents, and authorities deported them in a prisoner exchange eerily reminiscent of the US-Russia Cold War.
Chapman has since been treated as a national hero, and her and the other nine agents swapped received the country's top honor from President Dmitry Medvedev in a ceremony held at the Kremlin on Monday. Chapman is currently working as a consultant for an investment bank and was spotted several weeks ago working on exploration projects at the Baikonur Cosmodrome space station in Kazakhstan.
