Media Research Center Begins Anti-Bias Campaign

Friday, in Manhattan, New York City, four delivery trucks began circling the NBC headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, emblazoned with "Stop the Liberal Bias, Tell the Truth!" on both sides like a moving billboard. They include the headquarters of ABC, CBS and the New York Times as part of their metro media route.

Media Research Center(MRC) is a watchdog group that analyzes the media for liberal bias. L. Brent Bozell III, president of MRC said the goal of this 2010 "Tell the Truth!" campaign "is simple: to force the liberals in the media to stop pushing an agenda and just tell the truth."

Twelve similar trucks are also operating around the Washington, D.C. area and passing the offices of broadcast networks, The Washington Post, CNN, the Newseum, The National Press Club and Politico. Six trucks have been scheduled to run in Denver, Colorado as well. Billboards have been leased posting the "Tell the Truth!" message in nine cities, including Pittsburgh, Little Rock, Las Vegas, Dallas, Orlando, Seattle and Milwaukee.

MRC is the parent company of CNSNews.com and has enlisted in the campaign the help of a variety of conservative talk-show hosts by advertising on their websites, including The Drudge Report, Mark Levine, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. Bozell has said he hopes to reach tens of millions of Americans every week over the course of the next few months and present people "concrete evidence of the leftist bias in the press."
