McDonald's to Hire 50,000 Workers on April
19
Oak Brook, Illinois-based McDonald's Corporation has announced plans to hold its first-ever national hiring day on April 19th. The world's largest fast food chain will reportedly hire 50,000 workers that day to fill openings at its stores across the United States. As more and more of the company's restaurants expand hours, it says it will hire between three and four new workers at each location, on average.
The move comes as an increasing number of McDonald's locations expand hours to stay open 24 hours a day. The company held a similar hiring event last year in its Western region, where more than 60,000 people applied for 13,000 positions. Interested parties for this year's hiring day can apply either in person at any McDonald's location or online. Many locations will hold events and interviews on April 19th.
