JPMorgan Chase Admits to Wrongful Foreclosures

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has admitted to accidentally foreclosing on 14 homes and overcharging 4.000 active members of the US military.  The bank says it is working hard to try and resolve the mistakes.  The bank has said it will mail $2 million in refunds to the overcharged soldiers, and claims to have resolved 13 of the 14 accidental foreclosures and is working to resolve the last.

“We made mistakes here and we are fixing them,” read a prepared statement from bank personnel.  “We are deeply appreciative of those who fight to protect our country and Chase funds a number of programs that provide benefits to military personnel and veterans -- and while any customer mistake is regrettable, we fell particularly bad about the mistakes we made here,” the statement went on.
