Holographic Security Agents Introduced at London Airports

London's Luton and Manchester Airports on Tuesday unveiled new holographic projectors designed to prep passengers for the security line.  Called “Holly” and “Graham”, the two images are displayed on sheets of glass using the same technology that Gorillaz, the animated rock band, uses onstage, designed by a company called Musion.

Said Luton Airport spokesman Glyn Jones, “ Holly and Graham are not going to have a hangover; they're not going to have a row with their partner the night before.”   The two holograms at Manchester Airport are named “Julie” and “John.”  Officials from both airports hope the holograms will help reduce the time passengers spend in line by better preparing the passengers as they approach the checkpoints.  Watch a video of the new holographic agents above.
