HBO to Unveil HBO Go App

HBO announced on Tuesday it is preparing to launch a mobile app for its popular HBO Go inline streaming service that allows subscribers to catch up on original HBO content they might have missed. The app will launch early next month, the premium cable network said, and will be available for users of Android devices as well as Apple mobile users.

A spokesman for HBO says the new app will provide “instant and unlimited access to every episode of every season” of HBO's vast array of original series, plus a selection of hit movies. The apps, like the online streaming service, will be free for HBO subscribers. No word on an actual release date yet, though a YouTube video promoting the app has the date May 2, 2011 displayed at its conclusion. Check out the teaser video below.
