Google's Chrome Hardest Web Browser for Hackers to Break

Several weeks ago, in advance of the 2011 Pwn2Own hacking contest, Google engineers boasted about the security of the Mountain View, California-based search giant's web browser, Chrome. The company announced that it would pay $20,000 to any hacker that was able to hack the browser, a challenge only two teams have signed up for.
One of the two teams failed to show up for the contest, while the other team, calling itself Team Anon, has reportedly focused its hacking efforts on other projects. There is still time for someone to try and infiltrate the browser for the cash, but so far none have voiced their intent.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer 8, meanwhile, was infiltrated by a hacker named Stephen Fewer, who reportedly exploited three separate vulnerabilities to best the browser. Apple's Safari browser once again proved to be the least secure of the major web browsers, as hackers got through its locks on a MacMook Air in just five seconds.
Pwn2Own is a hacking contest held each year at the CanSecWest security conference since 2007. Contestants are challenged to infiltrate various software, especially web browsers and other web related programs. Winning contestants are rewarded with cash prizes, and are usually given a copy of the device or program hacked.
