Angry Birds Coming to Game Consoles

Rovio, the company responsible for the hugely popular mobile phone game, “Angry Birds,” is reportedly developing a version of the game for game consoles.

The company announced on Monday that they are developing versions of the game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and Nintendo Wii consoles.  The company's CEO, Peter Vesterbacka said in an interview with the BBC that the games would probably launch in 2011, though he declined to offer details beyond that.

Vesterbecka also revealed that the company is working on “Angry Birds 2,” which he says will be a completely new game, rather than a sequel to the immensely popular bird-slinging game.  As for the new game's premise, Vesterbecka said that "the pigs will be a lot more active than just being slingshotted at by birds."  He also said that there will be a lot more pigs in the new game.
