Acer to Launch 3 New Android Devices

Acer has announced plans to introduce three new Android-based mobile devices next April.  The company will reportedly introduce a 7-inch tablet, a 10.1-inch tablet, and a 4.8 inch smartphone, all utilizing Google's Android OS.

The as-yet-unnamed tablets will reportedly feature 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, 1280X800 screen resolution, and 1080p HDMI capacity.  The 10.2-inch tab is 13.3 mm thich, slightly wider than Apple's 12.7 mm iPad.  The larger of the two tabs also features a 5 megapixel rear camera and an additional  front-facing camera.

The new Acer smartphone, meanwhile, will be similar to the Dell Streak, although considerably more powerful.  It will feature 1024X480 screen resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, an 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash, and a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor combined with a Gyroscope / accelerometer combo that will make the phone ideal for gamers.
