I have been to BJ's Brewhouse several times but unfortunately for you, or fortunately - for me, I have eaten the same thing every time. I was told to try this place by one of my neighbors, who said he goes there to watch football, drink and eat. Yes, in that order. The first time I went was on a Sunday afternoon. The place was packed (it is always filled with people) but there was no wait. Usually when I go there is a short wait to get a table.
The atmosphere is a dream for any sports fan. Giant HDTV's everywhere you look but I especially loved the massive tv behind the bar which can feature four games at once. If you have ever seen the NFL Mix channel that comes with the NFL package on DirecTV, you get the idea. What's better about BJ's tv is it gives the option to choose which games are viewed, unlike DirecTV. There is a large dining area with tables and booths but most impressive is the bar area. I have tried their version of a honey blonde and I have no complaints.
Like I mentioned earlier, I always eat the same thing when I go to BJ's. The reason I always eat the same thing is I am always craving this dish and I never want to take a chance by getting something inferior. The first time I went to BJ's I asked the waitress, which I do a lot, 'what are some of the favorite dishes people get'. Without even thinking about it, she says, 'the Parmesan Crusted Chicken', so without even thinking about it, I ordered it and loved it! The chicken was nice and tender, pounded thin, enveloped with a nice parmesan & panko bread crumb crust and pan fried. It is topped with a delicious lemon Chardonnay butter sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and parmesan cheese. The sides included white cheddar mashed potatoes, which were also wonderful, and steamed broccoli.
One day I plan on being more adventurous and will try something different but until that day comes, I recommend one thing when you go to BJ's: get the Parmesan Crusted Chicken!.....Oh, and if you are wanting to go to a brewery in Colorado Springs, go to BJ's first.

I wanted to let everyone know the Colorado Mountain Brewery has a new location on the west side of Colorado Springs at Highway 24 and 21st Street. For those of you who have been in the Springs for some time, it is in the old Van Briggle Pottery building.
The design of the inside was really done well. Of course there are plenty of HDTV's in the bar area, as well as plenty of seating. There is also a dining area, with no tvs, for those who care less about sports. The patio area has several tables and a nice, large fire pit. I believe you can even bring your dog if you sit in the patio area. The windows and patio have beautiful views of the mountain range and Pikes Peak.
My friend and I both chose to eat a steak burger and drink a beer. The 7258 Blonde Ale was fantastic. I ordered the Gray's Peak burger, which came with bleu cheese, bacon, three onion rings and 'pickapeppa sauce'. I didn't know what the 'pickapeppa' sauce was and neither did my waitress. I asked if she could make sure they put it on the side but they forgot. No big deal, it just tasted like bbq sauce. The meat was cooked just the way I asked for it to be and the burger bun was nice and fresh. My friend ordered the Pikes Peak burger with american cheese. I would recommend the french fries but they also have sweet potato fries and other sides.
The place has been extremely busy since they opened. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately. It was very busy and our food took about 25 minutes to arrive after we ordered. Next time I plan to order an appetizer and drink more beer. Cheers.
