The Baylor women's basketball team dominated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Tuesday, earning the national title and becoming the first NCAA basketball team, men or women, to win 40 games in a season without a single loss. The Lady Bears were led by their star-player and 2012 Naismith award winner Britney Griner, who scored 26 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, blocked five shots and threw in an assist for good measure. Baylor also became the seventh women's basketball squad to go undefeated , the first since UConn went without a loss for two straight years in 2001 and 2002.
